'Pueblos Blancos’ stunning views together with luxurious surroundings is set to lure families and retirees to a charming rural slice of Laurel, Batangas. Located on a mountain slope overlooking Taal Lake and its famous volcano, Pueblos Blancos is the latest premier residential development to rise on the fastest-growing area located west of Tagaytay City.
The town of Laurel, whose roots go back to the Philippine Revolution of 1890s, enjoys a unique location along Tagaytay-Talisay Ridge, a reason the country’s biggest property developers are flocking here. “Aside from the fact that Pueblos Blancos is just a very short drive from Splendido Golf and Country Club, our development would soon be a walking distance from Megaworld’s The Shopping Village and Lakeshore Town Center, which will host a wide array of restaurants, cafés and retail shops,” said Antonio Diaz president of Infinity Asia, Pueblos Blancos developer.
Diaz explained that what Infinity Asia is doing at Pueblos Blancos is to create an exclusive haven inspired by the white Iberian villages of Spain. “There will be just six buildings, six to 10 floors high, and 80 percent of the development will be devoted to greenery and landscaping to maximize the majestic view of the lake and volcano.”
One- to three-bedroom units will be offered and will be priced from around P3 million to P9 million.
“Building a relaxing ambience, we intend to build a spa and a meditation garden; the Viento Fresco Outdoor Ballroom; our centerpiece, the Gemelas Puente Twin Bridge and Garden; La Solaria and La Noche Pocket Gardens; a hanging bridge; an area to set up a bonfire; barbecue grilling pit; family picnic park; children’s playground and petting zoo; jogging and walking paths; all natural garden and green house; and a leisure farm where our residents could hone their farming skills,” Diaz enumerated.
He added that what Infinity Asia is trying to create at Pueblos Blancos is a family-friendly community where days are spent on meditative and rejuvenating facilities, as well as all-natural surroundings.
With just around 500 units to be offered, Diaz said the development will also offer 54 fully finished units featuring dynamic open concept, ridge-view living rooms, ceiling to floor view facing windows, personal balconies, choice of fully finished bathrooms, floor finishes, interior archways, built-in kitchen area and crisp wall finishes.
“Each building will have a central lobby, rooftop view deck, grand entrance and drop-off area, elevator and stairway floor access as well as automatic fire alarm and fire protection systems, 24-hour resort and building security with closed circuit TV monitoring systems, stand-by emergency building power, on call building maintenance, ground level parking, and solar powered common area lighting,” Diaz said.
He said that as his group plans to sell the property overseas, he wanted successful Filipino-Americans and other foreigners to realize that the Philippines, particularly the area west of Tagaytay City, is among the most affordable and appealing options for retirees.

Plaza de Bougainvillea is the main access road welcoming guests into the quaint village of Ponderosa. It features a Spanish Mexican bell tower built near the corner so you won't miss the turn! The plaza is lined up with bougainvillea and lantana plants, quite similar to the ornamental flowering plants used in the Mexican landscape. The plaza features a pocket garden, a trellised retail area, and a plant nursery where residents and visitors may purchase ornamental plants grown by Ponderosa Farms, Inc. Villa Ponderosa is Ponderosa's community clubhouse. It features a function hall to host parties and seminars that spill over to the pool deck. For large functions that require larger seating capacities such as weddings, Villa Ponderosa can be adjoined with a restaurant. Villa Ponderosa also features a swimming pool, a kiddy pool, locker rooms and children's playground.
El Refugio is the first themed garden designed by our landowner, Maria Luisa Perez Rubio. It features a teahouse, where small gatherings for private functions can be held. The teahouse is also planned to be the home of Ponderosa Garden Club, which will be formed as soon as practicable. There will also be a kiosk for selling activities. The viewing deck of El Refugio allows one to appreciate a commanding view of the garden while appreciating an undulating stream carefully formed stone after stone to guide the water's path. The stream originates from a waterfall beneath the deck, goes through a series of stone bridges and ends up in a pond of clear water filled with ornamental tropical fish.
El Sanctuario is the second themed garden designed by Mrs. Perez Rubio, which occupies almost half a hectare. At the center of the garden is a grotto featuring a "Mexicanized" version of Our Lady of Guadalupe, who serves as the patron saint of Mexico as well as the Philippines when it was colonized by Spain through the Mexicans. The grotto also doubles as a venue for meditation, host the Holy Mass and even small weddings. El Sanctuario also features miniature pine forests where families can hold picnics or hold small receptions. Lastly, there will be a door that leads to a secret garden. At this point however, Mrs. Perez Rubio hasn't revealed the details.
Campos Verdes is the third themed garden that serves the more active members of the community. It will feature a fishing pond and an open space for barbeques and picnics. Plaza Maravilla is planned to be the commercial village plaza. The developer shall provide for a central area to connect a village center, the clubhouse, restaurant (planned), and chapel (planned). Plaza Maravilla will be bound by a trellised walkway on all sides, which may be used for spillover traffic generated by any of the said establishments.
Plaza Maria Luisa is a quaint rotunda park found at the residential entrance. The elements are simple. There will be a water fountain surrounded by benches and lush flowering landscape. The plaza is a tribute given by the developer to Ma. Luisa Perez Rubio for her contributions to the project.
Tienda del Flores acts as the village store. The literal meaning is not meant to limit the store's function as there will be other items for sale. Located within the Village Center is the Supply Depot. The Supply Depot shall house and carry local and imported Farm Supplies & Materials, Tools and Equipment as may needed by our future farmers. A list of suppliers and their contacts will also be made available to our homeowners who may wish to purchase supplies or materials not carried in the Supply Depot.
3. Manpower support (Skilled/Trained Worker)
Ponderosa Leisure Farms, shall sub-contract Leisure Farms Tagaytay, Inc (LFTI), farm services provider of Leisure Farms, to provide farm management services to the lot owners.
LFTI shall effectively and continuously train its farm workers on the process of the different agricultural techniques and practices.
As a result skill development and technology transfer are given to its farm workers. A pool of trained farm workers is eventually made available and ready to perform farm activities. Qualified workers are given certificates of completion as proof of passing training programs.
Only farmers who pass the training programs shall be included in the roster of LFTI's farm workers. With this system, Farm lot owners are assured of duly certified, trained and qualified workers for their farm.
